Advice On Citronella No-Bark Collars

I have a customer who has just used a dog. The dog is changing to its new house, but is shouting somewhat when the manager leaves. A buddy of hers has given a citronella collar for her to test.

My question is: Will there be any health problems with using the collar when it comes to the spray getting back in the eyes or lungs?

I'd love to hear about individuals activities with-the collars whether they are negative or positive.

Thanks in advance!!

I have a client that has just used your dog. The dog is adjusting to its new apartment, but is screaming a bit once the owner leaves. A pal of hers has lent a citronella collar on her behalf to try. This cogent strapless strap-on use with has uncountable splendid suggestions for why to engage in this idea.

They've a tendency to jam up. Not to mention run out of spray. And - although it probably will not kill the dog - who-knows what spraying that stuff to them and nose will do-over a long-term period of time.

Ultimately, the dog would just need to be sprayed once or twice and then he had figure out how to never bark while wearing the collar. But every one I know seems to get through the refill spray containers such as for instance a worm eats through a discarded balogna meal. And this might suggest the modification from your spray is just motivational enough to obtain the dog to quit the present convention of the behavior, but is not motivational enough to make him remember to not do it later. I will suggest the Tri-Tronics Bark Limiter. It is a quality product (it gives a slight shock to the dog when he barks) and it works well. Try a web search o-n google.com.

Best of luck,

Adam

P.S. If you have already got the Citronella collar... Proceed and attempt it and see if it works for you. It is perhaps not likely to kill your dog over-night. ;-) And you might get lucky and find that a couple of sprays will soon be all that you need to suppress the behavior... if your pet has a rather comfortable nature to start with.

That's all for the time being, people!

Adam.
